Wildcat assessment

Survey for field signs and camera trap installation

Initially a survey for field signs indicating cat activity was undertaken. Signs of cat activity include scats, prey remains, prints/tracks, claw marks. This was followed up with installation of paired, baited camera traps at a number of locations around and within the wind farm site in areas of likely habitat to get footage of any animals in order to establish on the basis of pelage if wildcats are present and considered to be at risk of disturbance.
